I'm afraid of not knowing. I'm afraid of not seeing tomorrow. I'm afraid of not being certain what waits for me after death.

Not even remotely scared of it. I've been in situations where I've been certain it was going to happen. If it does, it does. If it doesn't, it doesn't. That's all there is to it, at least in my mind.

Im not really afraid of death I am although afraid of what it would do to my children to have to grow up without a mother. Or for my parents to have to go through the death of a child, thats not how the natural scheme of things is suppose to work.

I'm with Audra on this. I'm not afraid except what would happen to Kylie. I've been close to before and it didnt phase me at all. But now...with her and my newer (newer then that time) outlook on life. I worry about Kylie and my family if I should die

No.

But I'm afraid of dieing. if that makes sense. It has more to do with what dt3,pony girl and kat have already said. It's a subtle difference, but it's more to do with leaving those I care about behind and the effect it has on them, than the very personal act of being dead!
What happens to me afterwards doesn't really worry me. It's going to happen whether I want it to or not! so I don't worry about it!!!!

I think about it every now and again, and it kind of scares me.

The realization that 'i'm going to die at some point' is kind of freaky to me.

Sometimes I'll just look at my hands or arms and think about it. I have so much I want to accomplish. So to die before that kind of scares me.

Now this is going to sound really petty I know, but a few years ago I was really concerned, not scared exactly, that I might have an accident, die, and miss the last Lord of the Rings film! I think it was more the thought of missing out that bothered me!

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on this subject. I'm terrified of dying by the hands of someone torturous, or say, drowning. So, I guess I have a fear of the actions that may cause death? :confused

I have no fear of death...I fear the death of a nephew or a niece or even one of my future kids...I know I would go off the deep end if one of them were to pass before me...I would give my life for them

I am not afraid of dying. I am not sure that "afraid" and "dying" go hand in hand for me. I just hope that I get to do all the things for my friends and family I would like to, and that I say or write what I need or want to say before my time is up.

When it's time to go, it's time to go. I personally believe it will be a happy day. It sounds cliché, but it's true that dieing is harder for those left behind. :(

Life is 100% fatal. Everybody has or will take their last breath. Be ready.

Live every day like you won't wake up tomorrow. Squeeze your kids. Forgive old friends. Say your prayers.

For all you Christians out there.... First beer's on me!! :banana2:

I agree with this completely. Being afraid of an eventuality is pointless. Be more afraid of living life to the best of your ability. Be more afraid of coping when you do lose someone.

I have to agree with all the other parents/uncles/etc who fear what will happen to our little loved ones with out us. Apart from that, Dieing is a part of living. So I guess I don't really fear my own death.

I refrain from thinking about losing one of my children. We came close enough to it with Mak. It's the most gut wrenching, horrific feeling I've ever had.

We thank God every day that he made it.
