Are We As Violent As We Say We Are?

Especially in debate, do you think we are as violent as we say we are?
For example -

If there was a civil war in the USA, if you were a Republican, would you be ok with killing Tim and if you were a Dem, would you be ok with killing Retro?

Taking it down even more of a drastic knot, and I know there are real men in Otz who would and have done this D )

If you eat meat, would you easily kill the animal yourself?

to the civil war question:

It would depend on how strongly I felt on the issue the war was being fought over, if it were something I didn't care about I wouldn't be comfortable killing over it, if I didn't feel strongly about the issue I would probably leave the country rather than stay and kill and possibly die for nothing


to the meat eating question:

I would think NOTHING of killing and butchering the animal myself, one animal must feed on another to survive, that is the natural order of things.

On war - It depends on what the war was about, but if it was something I really truly believed in then sure.

On animal killing - No hesitations here, it's just the natural order of things.

Civil war would be pretty cool, I'd happily kill all the hippies. It would be easy too, like starving out Ghandi.

As for animals, I have killed farm birds. It's hard at first because you don't know how to do it. Then it's the easiest thing in the world.

On war - I'd be a spy. My bra is big enough to hide a lot of state secrets.

Animals - Sure I'd kill them. If I couldn't kill the animal, I'd be a vegetarian.

This is a really crummy example to present in jest or not. :thumbdown Regarding violence, the human race has shown plenty of inclination to kill each other, pick a war, any war. We are primitive tribal animals.

Survival? no problem. I spent enough time on the grandparents farm.
