Lots of talk lately on MSNBC about being Socialists, the implication that most Americans want their entitlement programs such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicade, because for many of us when we get old and have been screwed by corporate America, this is what we will have to fall back on, unless the power mongers pull the rug out from under us.

What do you think about this. If we shutdown the big 3, would everyone be just fine and dandy? Would most of us be able to find affordable insurance? Would most of us have steady livable income? Honestly I don't know. My impression is that "things" would not be all right.

If you are not a U.S. citizen, feel free to vote. I put some slots in for ya. :D

:homo:Most have no clue what Socialism actually means. The TEA Party fucktardery of calling Obama a Socialist cracks me up...Almost as much as this current libertarian asshatery fad of working class wage earners voting against their own best interests. Call it chronic cranial rectumitus. :p
No see saying you're going to "spread the wealth around a little" is actually a staple of socialist policy.

Socialism by and large should be crushed.

America is probably the farthest thing from a police state depending on what you're talking about.

America doesn't even come close to Nazi Germany or Socialist Italy when it comes to being a police state. However, the amount of constitutional rights that are violated or ignored by politicians or police officers makes me question the purpose of a constitution.

Here's an example of what I mean: (http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/05/06/california-students-sent-home-wearing-flags-cinco-mayo/) P.S. I dislike fox news, but this was the news I was looking for.
Sure it might seem a bit disrespectful as America is a nation of many cultures and ethnicities, but in my opinion the school has no right to send students home just because they wore a shirt with the American flag on it, on Cinco de Mayo. Maybe the students had racist intentions, maybe they didn't, but isn't America the "Land of the Free", while these kids can't even wear a shirt bearing the flag of their home country?

Yeah none of this even approaches a "police state". Ask someone who lived in a Soviet era Eastern European country what a Police State is.

And yeah I disagree with sending the kids home.
