Many teens turn to AI chatbots for emotional support because they are accessible and nonjudgmental. However, AI cannot detect crisis, show real empathy, or replace professionals. This raises safety concerns. Why are teens choosing AI over humans? How can mental health support become more approachable and trusted?

I think it depends on how they are using it. If they are using chatbots to understand their conditions so that they can get a professional help, it is certainly good. However, if they are using it for diagnosis and also for solutions, it is certainly a risk

I think relying on AI chatbots as therapists can be risky for teens. While chatbots can provide general support or guidance, they lack human judgment, empathy, and the ability to respond to crises. Overreliance may delay professional help, exacerbate issues, or give misleading advice.

AI is not equipped to talk to children!! It tells people what they want to hear right now and the percentage rate for accuracy is not looking good yet. Perhaps in the future that will change, but for now, have children talk to people who have more experience in the field.
