Instead of parties, many people meet around hobbies or routines. Do shared interests create deeper connections? Which activities helped you bond with others? How important is doing something together versus just talking?

Yes, many people are shifting toward smaller shared activities instead of large gatherings. Intimate experiences, hikes, game nights, or small dinners, feel more meaningful and manageable, especially when comfort, cost, or personal connection matter more than big events.

I cannot speak for other societies, my in my place big gathering and shared activities, both are happening, and people are actually enjoying both. I see events like birthday, wedding, etc, are not only getting bigger, I also see a lot of people forming teams and then exploring shared activities like trekking, outings, etc.

I don't like crowd I have phobia for such. So I prefer to call out a friend to get things done especially those with light minded and of Same interest.
