In our culture, "old and wise" is a commonly used phrase to refer to old people as wise people? Do you really think old age makes people wiser? Is wisdom related to age?

True indeed. As you get older you gain more experience, you also build knowledge and these things can be interchangeably used for wisdom.

Older people often gain wisdom from experience, mistakes, and perspective that comes with time. But age alone doesn’t guarantee wisdom, some stay closed-minded, while younger people can be surprisingly insightful.

A person that has advanced in age is expected to be wiser because they have gone through so many things and seen a lot in life. But that has become a subjective discussion because some people just refuse to learn from experiences.

I think older people often carry wisdom from experience, seeing patterns and consequences that younger people might miss. That said, wisdom isn’t guaranteed with age, it comes from reflection and learning. I value listening to older perspectives but also balance them with fresh ideas and insights.

Old age doesn’t always guarantee wisdom. Wisdom comes from reflection, learning, and experiences, regardless of age, though elders often hold valuable insights from life’s challenges.
