High-demand jobs, entrepreneurship, and gig work often disrupt family life and personal well-being. Should society enforce more ethical work standards, or is personal choice the priority?

There have been a lot of studies that have established that lesser number of work hours improves productivity, but sadly today a lot companies forces people to work more, even the people who are doing gig work tend to work more because of low pay. I think there is a need to create more balanced work schedule.

Society should set ethical work standards like reasonable hours, fair pay, and benefits to protect well-being, while still allowing personal choice. This ensures people aren’t forced to sacrifice health or family life for economic survival, creating a balance between individual freedom and collective responsibility.
