Games that once came complete now lock content behind purchases. Are microtransactions necessary for studios to survive, or are they ruining creativity and player trust?

Microtransactions necessary for studios to survive. They will continue to improve games or develop games as long as they are making money. However, if the studios are overusing microtransactions, they will lose player trust.

That’s a big debate in gaming right now. Some argue microtransactions keep studios financially afloat, especially with rising development costs. Others see them as greedy and creativity-killing, turning games into cash grabs.

I think some companies like EA are only in it to make more money and they don't care about the consumer. Some indie developers might need extra money to help fund the game, but even then some good indie games don't even have transactions.
