Gen Z teens often access endless medical information online, leading to excessive worry about symptoms or rare conditions. How can parents or educators identify when curiosity turns into persistent health anxiety? What strategies help teens evaluate health information critically without spiraling into fear?

Things like doomscrolling, bed rotting, brainrotting are certainly making people more prone to mental health issues like stress, anxiety and even depression. However, Gen Z isn't the only culprit, even baby boomers are doing it.

Yes, digital natives may be more prone to health anxiety. Constant access to online health information, social media comparisons, and symptom-checking apps can amplify worries. While awareness is good, excessive searching or self-diagnosis often increases stress rather than reassurance.
