Affirmative action aims to correct historical inequalities, but some argue it may create reverse discrimination. Do such policies genuinely promote equality, or do they risk undermining meritocracy and social cohesion? How should societies balance fairness with opportunity for all groups?

I think affirmative action policies remain relevant in addressing systemic inequality and providing opportunities to underrepresented groups. While debates exist about fairness and merit, these policies help level the playing field, promote diversity, and counter long-standing social and economic disadvantages that persist in education and employment.
