Hell yeah. This is gonna start so much shit in the area of California that I live in.

Looks like it'll be headed to the Supreme Court soon enough. I just hope that they won't put a stay on this prior to the supreme's ruling like what happened previously.

Although the Constitution permits communities to enact most laws they believe to be desirable, it requires that there be at least a legitimate reason for the passage of a law that treats different classes of people differently. There was no such reason that Proposition 8 could have been enacted

Damn right.

meh....god hates fags. kidding. This should be such a non issue. But yea. You are right, I'm sure it will start all over again. I get the whole thing, but really, if it would have been defined as something different than marriage, then the sacred cow could have been spared.

Why? You live in the same congressional district that elected that asshat Darrell Issa?

Issa is in Orange County... I live in the Bible belt of California. It's the richest agricultural area in the entire country, and provides most of our food actually. But we're super conservative around here for the most part; it's about 75% GOP I believe. We've gone Republican in every Presidential election since I moved here 20 years ago, and probably before that. There's actually a County Supervisor in the Inland Empire that's trying to get support to split off that area (the high desert), Orange and San Diego counties, and the valley up just south of Sacramento into its own state.... with the capital either being Riverside or Fresno (which is about 30 miles from me).
