Used to still see them in the early 80's. Know anybody that still has one?

I had a Gremlin.

It had a 5.0 engine as I recall. Pretty peppy

But being rear wheel drive it sucked in snow

Also it had a two year warranty which was not the norm back then as all cars were one year. Good thing too. It had an issue til the day I got rid of it where it would all of a sudden quit running and not start. Dealer never could figure it out. Six months after selling it there was a recall as they found an issue with a gasket under the carburetor. It was a piece of crap car. one of my poor decisions.

I kinda like the look of the Pacer... Gremlin's look like they took a Hurst and compacted it. Or is it just me?

I thought it was a Gremlin at first...totally forgot about the Pacer. I don't know anybody that has one...but my Nana had a Gremlin. But she's dead and has been for some time...so, yeah, I have no contribution to this thread.

72 Cuda 440 six pack only car I REALLY regret selling.

Some that bring back fond memories...

Rich's Red Pinto with playboy door handles and the black fuzzy dice
Brians Chevy Vega with snow coming in the vents and using his sister's red plastic tape recorder for music because the radio didn't work.
My own portable passion pit, Red Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon, two door, 8 track player.

My son now yells out "opportunity curve" when we're driving coming on an offramp. You see, my dad told me of the days where the cars he drove as a teenager had a "bed" seat, just one long seat across the doors for the passengers with nothing separating the passengers. My dad told me the key was when driving around a corner with a girl driving with you was to hit the corner "hard" (when the curve was pointing towards the driver side) so the girl would slide over next to you. This would give you a "opportunity" to kiss her. Yeah, they didn't wear seat belts back then LOL
