anyone know how to repair a clutch on a front wheel drive car?

I was told the clutch from my car fits the clutch for a V6 ford fusion....

BUT if it's a brand new part and he buys it from a different parts store than where the mechanics shop gets it he could still, very well, get the typical warranty. I don't know about you but I learn quicker when I'm doing it. I can ask all the advice I need, but until I do it and make a mistake or get it done properly I don't fully understand something.

Thats what I meant. I find it awesome that you know your way around under the hood, but so do others around here, and discouraging those who do not is just like saying "I will not teach you" to someone asking for help.

My main thing is people need to do some research, THEN ask for help, get into it and then ask more specific questions if they get stuck. That's how one learns something.

Ok first off I didn't discourage anyone. Also I said I'd give props to someone if they could do it that way. ALSOOOOOOOOOO I wasn't the only one who said to take it to someone who knows how to do it.

But I'm not going to sit here and argue over something that the maker of the topic understood what I was saying. And since it was aimed towards him I don't care how you took it.

Well my comment was aimed at everyone who discourages someone from learning something new and asking questions... you just happened to be someone who knows more about cars than others, and thus, you got quoted. ;)

lol most mechanics dont make an hourly rate they get paid on how fast they can get a job done

if you dont know what you are doing, i dont suggest trying to change a clutch, its not really a minor fix
