Bed fan
Bedfan Bed Fan

Make a Rice Sock and place it in the freezer and leave it there for at least two hours. When you turn in, bring the bag with you to use as a cool compress. Try placing it under your pillow so it's nice and cool when you flip it over.

Sleep with your feet out from under the sheets, body heat will escape via your feet.

The type of material that you sleep in and on will affect how hot you get. Porous materials breathe better and will help you to avoid getting sticky. A light cotton shirt and light cotton shorts work well. Sleeping naked can actually make you even more hot since it doesn't allow moisture to evaporate between your body and the sleeping surface.

Use a cold compress or ice bag on the neck or between the thighs to cool the blood in major veins.

Warnings

  • Spending lots of time in the direct draft of a fan can cause severe dehydration.

Not to shabby for $100, will help your AC bill too .. you can turn it up at night so it doesn't run so much.

you will have AC blowing up your skirt though LOL

It's humid here to (in AL) .. but we turn ours up to 75 at night and just turn our ceiling fans up a notch higher. I also use 800 thread count egyptian cotton sheets too, and keep my comforter turned down.

My brother has MS (Multiple Schlorosis) and he sweats like crazy. We moved his mattress the other day... he has one of those therapeudic mattresses... it had a stain all the way thru from his sweat. I used to HATE sleeping in the room next to his when I lived with my parents cuz he would have the windows wide open in his room during the 10 degree weather in winter. :(

that terry cloth could be why he's sweating so much. I know my terry cloth bathrobe makes me sweat .. and I don't sweat often lol. (I don't get hot often).

it's very short terrycloth..like...not like a towel...i dont know how to describe it, but its not like towel material. He's had this problem since before we had this mattress and the cover...we had a brand new mattress and after 2 years it was worn the fuck out...from all the moisture that had gotten into it. I like this one because our mattress still looks brand new, and hasn't lost any of it's shape at all..it has a huge 5 inch pillowtop and it doesn't have any depressions where we sleep
