Now they're saying 17 killed in TN, KY, MS, and AR combined.

That's sad. The most we had tonight was thunderstorms and lightning...in the middle of February in the mid 30's. Getting snow later tonight. But no violent weather.

It was 72 here today. Anytime we have weather that warm in Jan or Feb it gets shitty soon afterward.

Im about 30 minutes from Knoxville. It was 75 here yesterday and 70 this morning... so far. It just started raining here...I think all we are getting is some strong winds and thunderstorms today.

The last line of storms just went through here in So KY. The worst of it hit north of me.

It got bad here in Arkansas last night. 3 counties were hit withing 30 min of each other. There are 13 dead here in Arkansas. An 11 yr old girl was killed
I was on my way to work when it all started, winds were blowing crazy and my car was getting what felt like a little light on the road. Scary as heck. It was pouring so hard that I could barely see to drive but luckily we didnt see any of the tornados in the town I live in.
Its so sad. These 4 states have taken a beating overnight

We had a couple tornadoes go through Oxford. Nothing too major. Some people got trapped in an industrial plant near campus. Haven't heard about any deaths in my town though.

My heart goes out to all those who lost loved ones.

It really didn't get that bad here. Stormy but I've been in worse. It was worse North of us. Hell I was at a Mex resturant while it was goin down... Heres some article clippings about it though.

Thirty people were killed in Tennessee, 13 in Arkansas, seven in Kentucky and four in Alabama, emergency officials said. It was one of the 15 worst tornado death tolls since 1950, and the nation's deadliest barrage of tornadoes since 76 people were killed in Pennsylvania and Ohio in May 31, 1985.


Most communities had ample warning that the storms were coming. Forecasters had warned for days severe weather was possible. The National Weather Service issued more than 1,000 tornado warnings from 3 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday in the 11-state area where the weather was heading.

The weather pattern has changed over the past couple of years. We don't get as many bad storms and tornados here in Central AR. Its all just North of us. By a few miles but still. I haven't been in or seen a Tornado in years.
