During the nineteenth century it reached the USA (where it is known as rutabaga) and then Canada.
To this day it is a much more popular food in North and East Europe than any other region.
I never ate one of those.

Im not really fussed if my foods are touching each other, the way i see it is its all going to be floating around in my stomach touching each other anyways

It depends on what is touching. There are certain things I'd prefer not touch (like my cranberry sauce and giblet gravy) ie sweet touching non sweet .. but for the most part I don't care.

I won't reuse my plate though .. like after I eat dinner and use my dinner plate for dessert .. because I don't want dinner food bits touching my dessert.

It just doens't mix well on the tongue.
