I have a personal rule with my credit cards. I will not charge less than $10.

I have a prepaid card that my paycheck gets loaded onto and then I have an ATM card and a check card. I never use cash, so everything gets swiped.

It's smart to not charge the super little things. They add up very very quickly.

I have one credit card that I use mostly for any online purchases that I make. I also use it occasionally at the store ONLY if I don't have the cash in my wallet to cover the bill.

I got in the habit of using my debit card for the small stuff.

My debt card I will b/c you get the change put in your savings account. It is like cash no interest. Credit cards I try not to use unless I have to. But they do have this new card I think chase sapphire that lets you chose what gets paid off first so you don't end up paying 10 bucks for a cup of coffee. But really does it matter you still pay as much interest.

I am not sure how it works but every charge costs the business a certain amount so small purchases really hurt the business if they accept the credit card.

I get about 40 dollars every couple of days from any ATM, I will not purchase food or beverages with debit or credit. Also it helps my mind work on a budget since it's hard to calculate every purchase with a debit and I end up spending more than I should, I end up seeing clerks 6 or more times per day...

True story. Which is why you see convenience stores put up minimum purchase amounts for credit cards (something they're not supposed to do lol).

...and it gets even better if you use an American Express card, which is roughly double the service charge for them.
