so....it takes us seven days to fully digest red meat and get it out of our system.

Did you know, that in every animal, we will use upwards of 98% of their bodies to produce? Bones for jello, pig skin for dog treats and burn victims, oils for linoleum floors.... wouldn't surprise me if they used some bone in sugar, or just in the machinery to produce sugar--but that's much better then them just throwing it out, right?
This was discussed before right? was it you who said your body stops making the enyzmes to break the meat down? that right there steers me away from ever becoming a vegetarian.
I don't understand it personally, not vegetarianism, but the fish thing.
But fair play to you, I like some vegetarian food; I've had quorn instead of sausage in my toad in the hole before, and it tasted nice. Some vegetarian food actually has so much protein you'll have trouble eating a lot of it, Soya I think especially.
Personally, I just couldn't do it. I enjoy steak and chicken WAY too much. But I hope it goes well and you enjoy it Janie. Get on with some creative cooking!
we do use them in sugar. cow bones.
it would be impossible on my budget to be vegan, and i just don't believe in it is all
my roommate was a vegetarian for two years and he eats meat fine. it has been two months since he started eating meat again
actually the fish thing is kind of selfish
i want to try to be vegetarian for a year just to try a different life style. i am not judge meat eaters or anything
but i love sushi, and that is one cuisine you can't make vegetarian. plus i still need SOME food to eat in cajun restaurants....
Thanks TD! I am going to try it just for a year. I will probably want to quit, but I am going to try it.
I LOVE sushi, I could never give it up for anything lol
lol - exactly![]()
good luck to you
Sushi rocks! :thumbup
There's an awesome oriental market in town that sells sushi for a reasonable price. You can buy 12 prepared 'rolls' or whatever you call them for only $4.00
Good luck, Janie. I did the exact same thing for 18 months and I actually enjoyed it. The weird thing was that I started eating a LOT of spicy food - it was as though the spices compensated for that 'solid' and 'satisfied' feeling meat used to leave in my stomach.
Vegetable biryani became my staple. I ate TONS of the stuff! :thumbup
lol! they make this stuff called soy meat tooMy ex didnt eat red meat or chicken Janie.....so I knew a thousand and one ways with tuna and lentils.
Red lentils are full of protein, and can replace mince in dishes like spag bog, tacos, lasagne etc.
I, however will NEVER eat a lentil "anything" ever again.
