I saw The SHining and Salems Lot at the theatre....only place to see them.

I LOVED it (The SHining)...was the only movie adaptation of his books I did LOVE.

I only liked Misery and the Green Mile....

WHoever said Jack "made" the film was spot on.

"all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy";)

redrum redrum:D

oh oh...I forgot Carrie...whats NOT to like about WIlliam Katt and John Travolta...:thumbup

I sorta stopped reading King after Insomnia....worst book I;ve read in ages...I moved on to Koontz after that and havent looked back.

He has a way with words that man.....some of his little observations on life and such are spot on.

In my opinion, that's what makes him such a great writer, the comments that he throws in which ring so true. He writes like he's having a conversation with you. :thumbup

I can remember being so inspired as to wanting to actually copy a phrase of his down once...it was very "spiritual"...

But I just kept right on reading....

Hocus Pocus was an outstanding kids and adult movie. We watch it every Holloween. :D

I watched it a few years ago and realized that it was just a fun movie to be enjoyed by all.

I saw it for the first time after it came out, and Bette Midler's character gave me nightmares!

I liked both versions of The Shining. I own both and have watched them several times each. I like Kubricks interpretation best, but I also like the other one because it's very similar to the book.

As a rule, if I really like a book, I want the movie to be a mirror representation of the story, ideally with actors who I can see as the characters. However, I think Kubrick's version overall is superior on both the artistic and horror levels. It has an incredible hard to create atmosphere.
