today i had my 2nd u/s. The baby measured at 7w2d. We got to see the heartbeat, it was really cool. I'm going back at 12 weeks for a genetic screening, as there is a risk for down's syndrome in my family.

very cool Clare remember though sometimes those blood tests can be wrong, and you will go your whole pregnancy worrying aboot nothing

thanks! Im not getting an amnio, just the nuchal translucency screening where they do a more in depth u/s and measure the nuchal folds and tell you if you are at risk or not. They are also doing bloodwork.

yeah i have my big one at 18 weeks. I have another one if I opt to do the genetic screening, and my friend Hong is an u/s tech, she says I can come get one for free from her at 12 weeks and she can try to tell me the sex then!

the 3d ones start at $175 here, I might go get one at like 35 weeks or something
they are worth it IMO .. everyone that I've seen was uber cool.
