Silent betrayal

A couple sits as couples do,
to share a feeling that seems true.

Hopes dreams aspirations and love,
Happily discussing all the above.

When a stranger strolls into sight,
An attractive prospect by any right.

The eye's of love then move to the side,
For with the strange eye's they wish to collide.

A look of lust is exchanged by the two,
A seductive stare that goes through and through.

The stranger's eye's then fade from view,
But of what thoughts transpired they both knew.

A silent betrayal through wandering eyes,
A betrayal which is so easy to disguise.

How easily and frequently the word of "love" is spoken,
Unknown it seems that true love requires a token.

The price of love is one soul for another,
And when this is given there can be no other.

For one hart, one soul is yours to give,
and its only through this giving you truly live.
