I went out to try to get some more moon shots tonight. I failed because the wind was quite blustery and caused all my shots to come out blurry. :mad As I was marching back towards the barn I noticed that the sky was glowing and it was decidedly GREEN!!! They put on quite a show tonight (anyone else see them?) and much chipperness ensued. Northern lights were the reason I bought a DSLR in the first place. Anyhoo...here are some shots that I got tonight. :thumbup



You can see the constellation Cassiopeia in these next two (it looks like a crooked W)




The orangey glow is light pollution from the city. Interesting effect.

YES! And I've been waiting for them to make an appearance here for a very long time. I was terribly excited when I saw these.

The last picture looks like it's daylight but it's not. The exposure was just several seconds long and there was a bright yard light behind me.
