If you can't pay cash for it, you can't afford it.

I remember reading from what you had talked about his raise I personally didn't think it was the greatest idea in the world to assume that kind of debt if you couldn't already put down a hefty down payment.

You also lose more money on the vehicle once you drive it off the lot unless it's a collector.

Take a 35k car and put 1,000 miles on it and see what you can get for it let alone the trade in.

I believe it is or it should be common knowledge that the car depreciates DRASTICALLY the moment you sign for it and drive it off the lot.
Hell even a collectors.. by signing for one you essentially become another owner and the more owners a collectors car has the less it is valued at.

Oh we can afford it, plenty afford it! He spent hours the night before making sure we could and double even triple checking the finances. We wouldnt have gotten it if not! Hes got a damn good job and pau for a person of his age and no college education!
