And a magpie thrown in for good measure. :D

I also got a shot of a blue winged teal but it's a poor picture so I won't post it. :p

birds descended from dinosaurs:ninja
Is that why you Brits call women " birds" ? :D

Hey Zirc.... good to see you was out and aboot at one of your watering holes. :thumbup I love / miss / hate magpies with a passion. We fortunately / unfortunately don't have any here so thanks for posting it.

In-flight stuff is fun isn't it?

Any input is welcome. :) You're probably right about the cropping bit but I never think of such things until someone else points it out. :D Thanks.

 You've definitely got to be on the ball to get them in flight. And those were big crops too.

Magpies are horribly annoying but they're beautiful, especially when they're flying. Haven't got a shot like that yet, though.

No problem :D ... I was just thinking I'd have that first picture on my wall at home without that bit I mentioned..
But yeah they're good pics

Second Anas pic is the better of the two imho because the light is reflecting that much more off of it so you can see it better.

The magpie is a cool shot too.

I was expecting a cross between a spider, platapus and a rhino!:willy_nilly:

I like the ducks though :)

The're right bastards, will eat anything, the're always raiding other birds nests for eggs or chicks. Got to admit though, I'd never seen one get a mouse before though I did see one a couple of years ago have a go at a slow worm. The slow worm snapped it's tail off and the magpie seemed happy enough to go off with that.
One tip - dont leave jewelry unattended outside or on the window sill with the window open, magpies have been known to steal that as well!
