First off, since there seems to be a lot of "What the hell" going on let me quote EXACTLY what I said.

LOL...I find it funny that comments were edited when you don't think you said anything wrong. It was out of line and insulting...not to mention it was directly pointed at one member who people seem to think it's cool to pick on. Come on...Dana says enough shit to get picked on about w/o you guys having to resort to insulting his work force status. My mom doesn't have a job (nobody around here wants to hire a 61 y/o woman) AND she has a Facebook...why don't you put her down, too??? I thought you were leaving the forum anyway, Sam???

Yes, I have more than one Facebook. Yep, I'm a total Farmville geek and I made the 2nd account so I could earn FV dollars and send cool stuff to my main account. I rarely sign on to it now, though, and keep meaning to delete it but I forget about it. I have a 3rd account, too, made so that I could voice my opinion on certain things and not worry about getting in trouble at work, LOL

The thread was NOT closed when I made my post and, like I told Sam when I returned his negative rep, I am not a mind-reader. There was no question about WHY Sam is still here...I merely stated that I was under the impression he was leaving the forum. And since we're all about calling people out...I was referring to your assertion to the mod staff that you would be leaving after you were called out for a violation of rules which, as is policy, will not be shared w/ the rest of the forum.

As for your "apology" you can keep it to yourself since it was quite possibly the least sincere post I've seen from you. If you have any further complaints about me, feel free to take it to Veronica, as you should have in the first place.

......concerning the "Dana" thread. It seems I've upset quite a few people with what I said on it and with PMs concerning it. As the thread is still up there for everyone to read, I think it's only fair that I apologise on the open forum as well. The whole think I had an issue with has now been satisfactorally sorted out so thank you to whoever did that and I have no plans to leave the forum now.
I was out of line with some of the language I was using at people and completely over reacted about the whole thing so I'm really sorry to everyone and especially my friends that I upset with what I was saying. I realise Veronica has a lot of stuff going on in real life and the same with the mods without me added to things with my shit on here, so sorry.

Since this seems to be the place for this sort of post:

I made a crack in Dana's FB thread. FB has always seemed a vacuous waste of time to me and the domain of kids. I've said before "I'm too old for FB" in other threads. Dana asked about multiple accounts and I made my usual crack "I'm over 40 and employed, so I don't have one."

A MOD seems to have taken this as some sort of slam against Dana in particular and his employment situation. TBH, I thought Dana WAS employed as he mentions "clients" from time to time. Regardless of this, my comment was not aimed at Dana- it was a smart-ass comment. Usually I just say "over 40" or "too old" or "past puberty" or whatever. For some reason I stuck in the "and employed" bit as an afterthought.

When everybody got their panties in a twist over my comment I got fed up because I took a 2-month vacation from this place because I wanted to avoid drama. I edited the comments out for some sarcastic comment about Zuckerberg. Spring closed the thread for an hour to kill the drama. Apparently a MOD didn't feel that was sufficient and took me to task for it.

So....

I apologize for my insinuation that FB is the dwelling place of immature losers.
I apologize for any false impression that I was taking a shot at Dana's work status.
I apologize that I got fed up and edited my original posts.

Finally, it was questioned by said MOD why I am still here. I said in Feb that I was taking a break so that I wouldn't have to deal with my own personal RL crap and the random drama around here simulateously. I was gone for two months. If my permanent absence is desired, then all the MODs have to do is ask.

i will not stand for this "PUSIFICATION"...as chopper would say..."harden the fuck up". what happened to being able to speak your mind, free speech?....why the fuck have we had soldiers and police fighting and dieing for over 100 years...well partially to maintain yours and my rights as a free people....but i guess we aren't truly free no matter what if we can be cowed and chastised every time someones butt hair gets bent out of shape.


i understand this isnt "MY" forum and i must obey the law put forth by others if i wish to spew forth the drivel i use for words, but without different individuals with varying opinions and comments this or any forum would suck royaly...as would life in general.

sometimes people need to be offended for their own good, it may not only act as a slap of reality, but it may just add a layer or two onto that overly thin skin that people have seemed to develop int the past few years.

i have spoken...you may attempt to chastise me now and hope it sinks in or ban me.

OK... since you want to talk, let's talk.

First off, try again. Check my record. ZERO warnings. ZERO violations. ZERO temp bans.

I NEVER made any "assertions to the mod staff". I didn't send anybody any PMs whinging about anything as you seem to be claiming. I said what I had to say in the open forum.

I stated that I was taking a break when I blew up after you stepped in and moved Retro's contest to the obscurity of the Debate Forum. I still question why you felt the need to do so when SEVERAL other MODS who were PARTICIPATING in in never thought it necessary. But that is a moot point.

However, I realized that I was going thru some personal shit and a health scare at the time and I had a very short fuse. Would I have normally erupted at you over something so stupid like I did if not for that? No. So I took a time-out on my own to spare the community.

After two months and after receiving a positive report I decided to dip my toes in the waters around here again, apparently to less than overwhelming joy all around.



As to my apology- I legitimately apologize to Dana if he read any slam regarding his employment status into my comment. Additionally, if anybody was offended by any insinuation that they are somehow inferior for using FB, I honestly apologize for that as well. I was attempting to be a smart-ass, not cruel.
