American military

Hi there,
I´m studying in Kassel ( Germany) and we have less Americans there, so that I don´t have the chance to practice English properly. Today I have the idea to contact the American military in Wiesbaden just to search for someone who want to learn German. It will be very good for me to have regulary E-Mail and telephon contact. Do I have made an mistake? Are they very strict accordingly to Germans? Does anybody have an idea how I can get contact to Americans in Germany? :ninja

when i lived in kaiserslautern most of the Germans i encountered spoke English with very strong american accents, ramstein base was not far away and literally thousands of us service personnel lived in the area

i think you should focus on air force personnel, us army normally struggle with english so learning german would be a challenge for them

I am not in the situation to choose..:tooth. I live in Bad Hersfeld that is 200 km away from Frankfurt.

paderborn was a big British garrison - you would have had luck there , i think the Brits have removed theirr Army now

you may have to learn yankee English
