Yes. but we cut cardboard sais, and swords out and pretended we were two of the ninja turtles.
not that i recall. me and my friends when i was a kid, used sticks we found in the woods and used them as either swords or guns and played war in the woods behind our houses. it was alot of fun... 
We used to make ninja stars in metal work, could get the fuckers to imbed in walls, much more fun!
I think he's talking about an earlier stage of life than metal-work classes pete!!!!

we used to cover them with left-over silver foil for that extra bit of realism!!!!!!!!!!!!

We used to use sticks and pine cones to play war. Thats how I ended up with a flint rock embedded in my right temple. Never did the swords thing though.
When I was kid I didn't have any friends so I just played with legos in my room.
I got my first four wheeler at age 5 so i was always on it. I do remember a bunch of us had those plastic sword things though.
Same time I got my first dirt bike.
First thing I did was slide it sideways under the back porch. Damn did that hurt... :ninja
