Well. I'm an uncle 5 times over right now.

Tyler will be 8 August 12th.

Benjamin will be 6 March 29th.
Cameron will be 1 yr old March 10th.

Rachel and Gwen will be 1 yr old in April. (they were born in North Carolina, I can't remember their birthdate.)

Benjamin and Cameron are my brothers' two boys, Tyler, Rachel and Gwen are my sisters three kids.

My sister was talking to my mom this afternoon when I came downstairs to fax something to my mortgage company when my sister wanted to talk to me (on the phone). She proceeds to tell me that I should hurry up and have three kids so that my mom will be a grandma 9 times over just like my aunt.

Not realizing that 5+3 didn't = 9 because I had too much on my mind at the time, and not knowing why I'm being harassed or the news that I'll later be made aware of, I just said no way in hell and went about my business. Then I went back upstairs to get something.

My dad tells me that I need to finish shredding the paperwork in the basement, so I head back downstairs to find my mom still talking to my sister.

My... Pregnant sister!

I'm going to be an uncle 6 times over now. I just started laughing when my mom told me. I never picked up on why my sister was talking about kids and when she said "you need to have 3 kids to equal our Aunts 9 grandkids".

It just didn't dawn on me. haha

So yay... another spoiled brat running around the house! We just had all 5 of the kiddies in my parents house last weekend... makes me even MORE happy I don't have a girlfriend, let alone a wife or kids.

Hey now, we're not all so bad.

lol But only when you're sleeping... right?
James, you would have a g/f if you wanted one.

Congrates on being an uncle X6!!! :)

Thanks. :)

I kind of hope it'll be a boy, that way Tyler won't be the only boy in the house, but on the other hand if it is a boy I feel sorry for him with having twin sisters only a year and a half older than him.

don't worry, someday you'll realize that you will want a family.

I don't foresee my wanting a family until I'm more financially stable, IF ever. I have a new love to worry about - my mortgage is just about to close on the house next week. :)

congrats on the morgage...and financially stable??? Almost everyone in the world would be single if everyone thought like that. Except for the rich and famous...they would be the only ones married.

Yeah, true. But I don't want to sit here for 18 years trying to raise a kid with absolutely no money in the bank. I want some padding in the bank account prior to having any children.

Congrats on being an uncle six times over. :)

I'm sure once you get set in your house, knock off some of your mortgage you'll love the thought of a wife and kids. ;p

Nope, he is hell-bent on never having a g/f. We have all tried talking him round, pointing out to him, the gd bits of having a partner and all the gd that goes with it - not a chance. He's determined to never have one! :D

Kids annoy me. I'm perfectly happy with going to my brothers, dealing with the two kids and then being able to leave for peace and quiet.

I wouldn't say hell bent on never having a g/f, just not in my itinerary at this moment in time. :)
