I like to drive fast. the Mustang was first built in 1964 as a 1964 1/2 model. It really got some horsepower around 1967 and Shinoda came out with the Boss in 1969. Carrol Shelby helped design the Mustang GT. This came as a 350 or 500 model. Then the insurance rates and gas shortages of the 1970s forced Ford to build the Mustang 2. This car had no power. Then in the 1980s, Ford built the fox body mustangs that included a 2.3L turbo and a 5.0L v8. In 1994, Ford went with a more aerodynamic styling with the mustang and in 1996-1998, the rear tailights got the classic 3 vertical lights again. Then in 1999, Ford changed the styling again for the 35th Anniversary year. The same style lasted until 2005 when Ford built an all new mustang with all new platform, engine, and frame. The new 2005 mustang gt makes over 300 horsepower. Now the legend will continue with the production of the 2007 Ford Shelby Cobra. This car is expected to surpass 450 horsepower. I love the mustang.
