AI Vs. Search Engines

How do you find information online, do you use AI tools like ChatGPT or do you use search engines like Google. These days even search engines display AI overview for the search query. Do you trust the content generated by AI?

I mostly make use of such engines whenever I want to do research online. In most cases, AI brings out what is on the search engines, so why not just go there myself? However, if I am doing extensive research and I just quickly need a bit of information, I can quickly ask AI. But that happens in very few cases.

It is mostly when I am looking for real time information for events that are happening live that I use search engines. For general information, I always use search engines more.

I use a mix of both. I start with search engines for a broad view and current info, then I use AI tools like ChatGPT to summarize or explore ideas faster. I cross-check AI-generated content, because it’s helpful but not always fully accurate.

AI and search engines serve similar purposes but in different ways. Search engines like Google index the web and return links based on keywords, while AI tools like ChatGPT provide direct answers, summaries, or content generation, often synthesizing information more quickly. I use both

I do more of prompts for my fashion design work with generative AI. That's what I can't get with search engines. That's why I have seemed to use AI nowadays than search engines.

Search engines are pretty good at finding facts, however, Gen AI tools are good at generating creative responses. I think they both have their own purposes.
