Aggressive Drivers

Saturday evening I am on I-65 headed South. There is very little traffic and I am riding in the right hand lane going the speed limit or slightly over. There is no traffic in the left lane for a foreseeable distance in both directions. Suddenly I have someone driving dangerously close to the back of my car as if trying to make me go faster. I am too old to take that as a challenge to my manhood that I should drive faster. I just took my foot off the gas after tapping the brake to release the cruise control. The other driver did finally get the message. Aggressive driving does not make sense to me.

A armed society is a polite society. This is one reason I carry. I need to be aware that my actions NOT to escalate the situation.

I hate people who drive aggressively and insult other drivers. I don't understand them. They should clearly go to a psychologist or do yoga. It's not normal to vent your internal hatred on external people who haven't hurt you. Besides, it always ends in something bad.

Aggressive drivers make the roads stressful and dangerous. Tailgating, speeding, and sudden lane changes put everyone at risk. I stay calm, give them space, and avoid reacting, it’s not worth escalating.

I find aggressive drivers stressful and dangerous. They risk others’ safety and cause tension on the road. Staying calm and avoiding confrontation helps me stay safe. I wish more drivers practiced patience and respect behind the wheel.
