apologies to the OP for my part in starting a debate here. in terms of advice, i think kat's got the right idea. the only thing you really can do is try to guide her towards real medical help, and let her know that you're there to help her.

i hope things work out well, and she gets on the road to recovery soon. you've got a whole forum full of people sending prayers and good wishes.

They aren't saying stress is the ONLY cause, just that it could be one of the causes
Thank you :)
It may seem hard to believe but psychological stress does cause cancer. I have both study this and I could find you a lot of articles about this, it's proven. Cancer is something we have al ready in our bodies. Different things cause it to develop. One of the is tobaco, one of them is stress, etc...
Actually I wonder what is so hard to believe about this, when hysterical patients even get blind or become unable to walk ONLY for psychological reasons. We should never understimate the power of this.

ok first off let me say to some people in this thread...no matter if you believe what the studies were about or not. Kyryahn is here for advice on how the mom can be helped....So how bout we all give advice... This is not a debate.

I honestly think it may help if you see the main specialist following her case. Talk to him and see what he has to say. Myaybe even kinda ambush your mom if need be take her out to lunch or something somewhere...you do the driving and make it someplace quiet...talk to her there if you think maybe that might work. Do some research on your own and try to find someone trustworthy...that you like and maybe you can convince your mom to go to that person instead if you have enough facts and good things to show her. My heart goes out to you and your family...i know how hard it is to have someone you care deeply about fighting cancer. *hugs* ever need an ear and im always here
Kat you're wonderful <3
I agree that would be a good idea. Thank you!
