A lot of small towns in the state of Victoria's bushfire area are burned to the ground- and to date, 65 people dead.
National parks in Sydney are burning.
a nutcase and mother nature have a lot of explaining to do.

This horrific disaster even surpasses Ash Wednesday (A bushfire in the 1970's)

we live just 60klms from the Victorian Border to the north and 62 klms from Bega to the south...bushfires on both sides. hopefully the cool change that is expected tonight wil alter things. Not in any danger where we are.

God bless all the families that lost loved ones in the fires.

Looks terrible what I've seen on the news, one of the worst bush fires ever, I've heard. Hope you keep safe. Fortunately Sarah's family are ok as they are up near Brisbane and Sydney.:(

Glad Sarah's family are safe, but hope they are nowhere near the 62% of Queensland that is declared a disaster area due to the floods..From one extreme to another aye?

Re: A sad day in Oz

if the arsonist is caught, the law will throw the book at him/her and charge him/her with mass murder..personally, i think he/she should die how his/her victims died.

It's SUSPECTED that it's an arsonist.

For SOME of the fires.

And not ONE arsonist.

Many arsonist lighting SOME of the fires.

A fair few of the fires are just regular bush fires.

And your last statement is ridiculous.

So according to you and Lou, those psychopathic murderers should be slowly dismembered before their very eyes without any anesthetic? Using your logic of kill serial killers the same way.

What happened to those people should not be wished on ANYONE.

I hardly believe in the death penalty, and that's (arguably) quick and painless.
