A penny earned... is a penny saved.

Today I decided I wanted taco bell for lunch so I go in and order, whip out my debit card to pay and the guy tells me their card machine is down.

Ok, luckily I have some cash on me, so I hand it to him.

He gives me my change back, and I flip the coins into my right hand and swing it down to stuff it in my pocket. As I do this, one of the pennies flips out of my hand and onto the ground in front of the guy in line behind me.

So I continue pushing the change into my pocket, the bills into my wallet, look down at the penny I dropped and just inch my way to start to go for it. What does this dude do?

Picks the damn penny up and shoves it in his pocket. :24:

WTF? hahaha! Where the hell does he think it came from?

I just start laughing because I mean... it's a penny.. whooptie do, but it was mine!

Later on, I stop by the gas station to fill up my truck and as I'm entering in the mileage and putting the pump into my gas tank, I look down and there is a penny laying on the ground!

I'm still cracking up about him just randomly bending down and picking up my penny though. haha

Maybe he needed the penny more than you did, in which case you helped him out & if you want to believe in Kharma, did yourself some good.

Allan

PS Here in Australia we call it one cent, & it is a coin that we don't actually have anymore - everything is rounded out to 5 cents.

When I was a really little girl my great grandmother told me that when you find a penny on the ground it's because an angel tossed it down to you.

I was about 6 when I caught her dropping pennies directly in my path accidentally on purpose. She was such a hoot!

I guess I should have known that angels weren't really dropping pennies, But in a way. She was an angel... so yeah.

lol, I don't pick up change that I drop, unless it's a quarter. I steal quarters if I see them lying about anywhere, too. Something I've done since a kid.
