first - i have no qualifications :D

secondly - visual basic is a language. its not a full blown compiler. but most definitely a language. and it has some object oriented programming, just not full blown. now, its not a baby language, its been around for a bit. but, in terms of what it can do, most definitely a baby language. mainly the reason i play in it.

VB6 has no object oriented programming, absolutely none. Of course, you can almost fake it, but still has no concept of polymorphism, inheritance, etc. My suggestion to you is to work in VB.NET, has all the syntax of VB6, but is a real coding language.

oh, and besides the obvious fact that it has almost no relation to the visual basic series (if you could call it that). vb.net is too radical from the single-digit versions. ill stay with 6 as long as i need to, so i can write my own language/complier

hi r u online cuz im bored lol

first - if i can read what you typed clearly, you are asking if im online.

secondly, no. i am never online. i am either driving, thinking, sleeping, eating, walking around for no apparent reason, drawing, bothering my mother, or sitting in the real world, facing the computer monitor, and making sense of the group of pixels that are representing what i can interpret as textual characters, which are helping me to form concepts in my brain, which are indicating what you are trying to ask me.

Not really man. If you can program in VB6, then you can do some stuff in VB.NET, which is a whole hell of a lot better in my opinion.

yeah. sorry about that. i think i was pissed off at something here - most likely due to my car, and i took it to the boards..

and yes, some of the things and syntax of vb6 made it into .net, but i just dont feel like jumping into something new that is only one platform right now. even though i only use vb6, which is only one platform.

so, again, i apologize - i didnt separate personal from online persona. ill try to do better.
