I cleaned my carpet real quick after I got home from work today, and I set the cleaner in my kitchen.

I forgot that it drains for a minute or so afterwards.

I walked in slipped in the puddle, my knee dislocated (it's screwed "together") and I fell flat on my face.

Ouch. Haha.

Lesson learned. :D

The water in mine just gathers in a tub at the bottom. But when you pick it up, you have to be careful or else the water will go all over the place.

Ouch! Bummer, Darrell.

Next time do what I do..... Get a professional to come out and clean the carpets.

Awww, Darrell! Glad it's ok.

Just so you're not alone, I've slipped and nearly busted my head 4 times+ since I was little, back when my mom would mop. I'd go running in the kitchen, no clue she'd done it and SPLAT. :24:

It's funny you post this (well not funny)
But I shampooed the carpets last night and my 4 year old went trucking into the kitchen and when his wet feet from the rug hit the linoleum, he hit the ground hard and fast... lol, you should have seen the look on his face.
But of course being 4, he just bounced, not like us old folk, we break

Haha. All is good today guys, a little swollen, and sore but nothing I can't handle. :D

Ouch...that sounds painful.

If you have never dislocated a body part it's hard to describe. The pain is so strong, and sharp, but it subsides quickly, and I'm left with a throbbing burning knee, and the feeling that I'm going to vomit all over myself. The sick feeling is worse than the pain itself.

He's Down!! Still warm too! *ahem*

What i meant was...... sorry to hear about your knee :(

LOL, nice Kate. ;)

Bionic Darrell? :ninja

Yes, courtesy of the United States Air Force. Chicks dig bionic men right? :24:

nice to hear you take the positive from a bad situation

Hell, it's my own fault. No use getting bent out of shape about it.

Thanks again for the kind words, everyone. :p

I have never dislocated a body part (*knock on wood*) but I have broken more bones than I care to admit, LOL

I just thought of something funny, and similar.

The last time I slipped and dislocated my knee.....

I was walking into my bathroom, slipped on my loose floor mat, and my knee dislocated, as I am falling I reach back to grab the wall to catch myself, and dislocate my shoulder.

I really should let them "fix" my shoulder like they have been offering. :p
