I set up my coffee the night before so all I have to do when mostly asleep the next morning is flip a switch rather than fumble with coffee. I awoke walked in the kitchen flipped the switch and walked to my office to start my day. I stagger to the kitchen about 15 minutes later to find a pot of hot water. Seems I forgot to add coffee to the filter the night before. So I reset up and started my coffee.

When my coffee is finally ready I sloshed part of it out of my cup walking back to my office. Stopped and cleaned up my mess.

Since it was Friday and my wife goes back to work full time shortly I took the afternoon to spend with her. We live about 25 minutes from Montgomery and she wanted to eat lunch in "The Alley". An area of nice restaurants and bars downtown. She chose "Central" which I have read is suppose to be very nice. We got there close to 1 and it was very full. I got some attitude from the guy at the host stand that really got under my skin. We got seated about 10 minutes later. We ordered water, an appetizer and two sandwiches which came with poorly cooked fries. $35 later after the tip, we left. I doubt I will ever go back.

Those things happen every day. The key is to forget them as soon as possible. You are so lucky, your still upright, walking and talking. You had a nice lunch with your favorite lady. what a great day. enjoy the best each day !

Worse is when somebody helps you out by prepping the coffee and does not get the pot under correctly and it runs all over the cabinets and floor. I would not go back for a lunch like that either. That much will buy you a well cooked dinner with salad bar around here.
