99th Grey Cup this sunday

Woohoo! RAAAWRRRRR!!

Having only being in Canada for about a year, I'm new to CFL and NHL but have proudly adopted the Canucks and Lions now that we're living in Vancouver. I've been to two Lions game so far, their first game back at BC Place and the Western Conference final last week (both against Edmonton), couldn't afford the tickets to the game last night but didn't miss a minute of it! After the Stanley Cup riots earlier in the year in Vancouver.. we were kind of put off by going downtown to watch it, so we just stayed at home.

Great game and for a while I thought the Lions were going to give away their lead!
There's some celebration Wednesday night in the stadium we might go down to depending on the weather. =)

Yes, it was quite lovely discussing riot plans. :D :ninja

Yes yes it was.. I still say you need to tell you sis I can do the fires, but I know you want to be the Flames Master.. :24:

Weather? In Vancouver?
I hope you never find yourself in Edmonton in winter, they have weather

Hey don't laugh.. It was colder when I left Vancouver Sunday morning than when I arrived in Edmonton and than Saskatoon ( +9 C ).. :p

The wind tore open the stadium roof the night before and they had to scramble to fix it for the game.. I saw poor Calgary got a few gusts and a few trees fell down so know they know how we feel most winters days.. :willy_nilly:

They closed downtown off because it was breaking glass in the skyscrapers... 145km/h winds............ We nearly lost our door when someone opened it.. It's a mess in some of the older communities and such.. trees, roofs etc were relocated.

Yes I know Melissa, the week before we had roofs blown off sheds and trees fall down and power outages..

I was on the Ferry the day before and they close down the food going both ways. It's been like that here for a while with us getting gusts ( not as bad ) for a bit now.. Crazy stuff..
