That article and study are full of shit, there is NO WAY that 92% of Afghans have not heard of 9/11, those "9/11 Truth" sites will say absolutely anything to support their ridiculous theories.

why would they have heard of it? Most Americans probably hadn't heard of Afghanistan before the invasion.

Americans are not quite so ignorant as you think, most Americans had heard of Afghanistan before the invasion, they might not have been able to point it out on a map, but most of them had HEARD of it. When something like the 9/11 attacks happens in the most powerful country in the world people WILL hear about it, it's not like someone flew a plane into a Building in fucking Zanzibar or something.

Even I did not know before I watched the 9/11 on the TV!!
How could one imagine a backward tribes of Afghanistan to know where twin tower was and why it was bombed
and by whom until news came out. But still most Afghans just don't know why they are being attacked by the US?? They just think the US is after them for their resources, their doctrine, their system, etc to oust them and to force them to play to its tune by occupying their country through force with the help of its allies and paid proxies .

You have to remember how a lot of these people live: no TV, no electricity, barely surviving.

I had a friend who spent a couple of months in Morocco last year. She stayed with a family out in the country and it was beyond 3rd world. They had like 10 kids, and at suppertime, they filled this big bowl with food and passed it around 1 by one as they only had one spoon. They all slept in the same room, had no TV, couldn't afford newspapers etc. I'm pretty sure they would've had no idea about 9/11 either. The two countries aren't so different, financially speaking.
