Well, duh. But I wasn't talking about Bin Laden - I was talking about the other terrorist organizations who resided in Iraq.
there were no major terrorist organizations in Iraq pre-operation "Iraqi freedom"

Plus there has been no link whatsoever established between Iraq and 9/11. Iraq was a simple power grab to establish a military foothold in a strategic part of the middle east.

Yeah, that's exactly what it was. Which is why we now have a military stronghold in the middle east. Yep, definitely follow you there...

The invasion of Iraq was to help PREVENT another 9/11! That's the whole point! If we waited until the Iraq terrorist groups staged another 9/11, it's too late! The fact is, they are all terrorist groups, and they are all intent upon one thing: killing innocent people. I believe, with the power that America has, it is our responsibility to terminate terrorist groups as quickly and as effectively as possible.

Now, the current operations have killed a lot of innocent people, but there's not a whole lot we can do about that. If we didn't invade, there may have been one, two, three more 9/11-type attacks. Who knows... but we cannot allow the terrorist groups to continue thriving, that will only harm us more in the long run. Can you imagine if they managed to get a nuke to hit LA? New York?

lol. If we wanted to prevent another 9/11 we would have invaded Iran, Syria or Egypt. Thats where most of the 9/11 hijackers came from. Do you know anything about this or???

Iraq had no reputable link to 9/11 whatsoever. In fact Saddam himself cracked down on any extremist groups in his country because he was obsessed with his power and feared that radical groups threatened his power. We've had Iraq on our check list ever since the late 1980's as a strategic, easy to get country for a strategic military foothold in the middle east to project our interests from. Simple as that.

If you want to talk about killing innocent people, check out iraq's civilian death toll that numbers in the hundreds of thousands because of us.

I'm saying FUTURE 9/11. Either for us, or another country. Just because they didn't have anything to do with the current 9/11 doesn't mean they wouldn't carry out something similar in the future (which is exactly what they proclaim to do). And we know they would, either against us or someone else. Saddam harbored and helped terrorists, which is why the operation on Iraq was much larger scale than any other operations. After we took Saddam down, other terrorists joined in the fight there, so we've had to stay there.

so lets invade every single country that we THINK may pose a threat to us in the future? THATS RICH, hahahahhaha

And I think you're insane for not caring that there are still people out there who would nuke the US if they had the chance.
lol no they wouldn't. Any country in the world with nukes wouldn't even dream of launching one against us or any of our allies. They know mutually assured destruction will await them. They're not that stupid.

But yeah, if you want to follow ancient Rome and spread our already seriously strained military any further, go right ahead. I'm the one who actually cares for our servicemen, you want to throw them into the fire over meaningless wars.

I'm not talking about countries - I'm talking about suicidal maniacal terrorists, which is who we are fighting against.

1 - That we pay for every meal when we go out with a woman and there is no guarantee of sex
2 - That when our woman goes out shopping she gets to take our credit card out with her
3 - That we are expected to notice every little thing our women have ever done to their hair/house etc
4 - That our women expect us to cut the lawn every other week
5 - That our women expect us to sleep in the wet patch

These are the five worst precedents ever ;)

no, you said you wanted to invade countries who had terrorist organizations.

plus good look fighting terrorism in all of those countries. How long have we been in Iraq now fighting a relatively small force of insurance? Have fun fighting for 100 years.

Complete and total fabrication to convince the easily gullible why we should invade a country that posed no treat to the U.S.
The best theory I've heard about why we invaded Iraq was to surround Iran.

I mean, its pretty obvious that we did it not for counter terrorism. I don't even think it was mostly for oil, even though we could easily tap their oil resources in an emergency, I'm sure we have a special deal with the Iraq government for such a measure. I believe it was a simple power grab to establish a military foothold in the middle east. Now we're right in the middle of every major middle eastern country, and we can have MAJOR power leverage, even more than before, in the region. Especially with a major sea port to the south, were our carriers can loiter.

We already had a military presence in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
