The majority of the American public seems to think George W Bush is the worst president of all time. Well that may be true someday, but not enough time has passed to make that proclamation. Maybe in fifty years Dubya is hands down the worst president ever. For right now, however, here are five presidents that were worse than George W Bush. More..........

Hmmm, got to really compare this with the unenlightened times they lived in too. Did any of them invade a non threatening country on a lie, causing death to loads of innocents? Hmm...

Actually, in the opinion polls (those approval rating things) George Bush is the most unpopular ever. Even fucking Nixon scores near the top.
Look it up.

edit: In response to your post I think in 50 years he will be more popular and things will level out actually.

Which ones would these be then? And please dont give me examples of ones who have sneaked in since the war.

What type of terrorist groups did Iraq support under Saddam Hussein’s regime?

Primarily groups that could hurt Saddam’s regional foes. Saddam has aided the Iranian dissident group Mujahedeen-e-Khalq and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (known by its Turkish initials, PKK), a separatist group fighting the Turkish government. Moreover, Iraq has hosted several Palestinian splinter groups that oppose peace with Israel , including the mercenary Abu Nidal Organization, whose leader, Abu Nidal, was found dead in Baghdad in August 2002. Iraq has also supported the Islamist Hamas movement and reportedly channeled money to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. A secular dictator, however, Saddam tended to support secular terrorist groups rather than Islamist ones such as al-Qaeda, experts say.

But keep in mind too, these are just the ones that were supported by Iraq (i.e., given money, buildings, etc by the Iraqi government). There were likely many others, as shown in this report (Terrorism in Iraq) that were present but not specifically supported by the government, just not driven out as they should have been.

So how were there groups you mentioned a direct threat to the USA then? Personally I find the arseholes who have sneaked in since the war much more of a threat.

Those groups specifically aren't a direct threat to the USA, but they could have become that at any time. Not to mention that if the Iraqi government was actually HELPING all of these terrorists groups, who knows what other terrorists would be able to live there unhindered.

Any terrorist is a bad guy in my book, regardless of who they are targeting. They are bent on destruction and the taking of human lives, and they need to be stopped.
