4 Year Old Died From 4 Wheel Accident....

Tragically, the 4-year-old boy who was injured in an ATV accident yesterday in Shin Pond has died. Tanner Morse was operating an 80cc Yamaha four-wheeler by himself on property owned by his grandfather, 49-year-old Craig Morse.

The child’s father, 24-year-old Cody Morse, found his son unconscious about 200 feet from the home. It appears the boy attempted to drive up an incline. The machine rolled backwards and landed on top of him. The helmet was off the boy but near the machine. Witnesses observed the boy wearing the helmet earlier. The incident remains under investigation by the Maine Warden Service in cooperation with the Penobscot County District Attorney's Office.

As I said I wouldn't let a 4 year old on a 4 Wheel unless a parent/grandparent was on it with him...

Stuff like this happens a lot more than most people realize. Having said that...these people are paying for their mistake in the most horrible way possible. They don't need us to judge them.

That is really sad and scary. I go riding often and have taken my almost 3 year old with me but I am always with her. The trails are on private property also and I know them off by heart and don't go very fast with her. The ATV the boy was riding is much smaller than the one I use though, it looks like a younger child could handle it but I guess not. I can't imagine how the father feels.

I remember getting into a lot of dangerous stuff when I was growing
Me and my friend would wade through snake infected swamps almost every weekend
climb trees and the other cut it down
swing from great huge vines where we could have pulled huge limbs on our heads
cross through peoples lands that we know shoot at people with rock salt
ride my bike down a huge water slide
skate boarded inside a huge storage cylinder that had left over acid on the floor
and the list goes on
was riding a 3 wheeler through the woods and there was a hole in the path the size of a car
went right and cousin on a motorcycle drove right in on top of me
ran over a friend on my go cart freaked out while I was on top of him so I gassed it and tore him a new one
If I wasn't bleeding I wasn't happy.
