The government isn't some faceless entity, it's made up of people just like you and me. Some of whom wouldn't agree with an 'us first' approach either.
And like I said, they're a minority, massively so, compared to how many people are actually in the country.
The world will end, but not in 2012. But I can see the world failing to keep us alive by 2040.
