19/11/11,,the big one of otz

Nope, Coventry 1 West Ham 2. Very dire first half but ultimately West Ham outclassed Coventry in the second half. Pretty scrappy game but job done. The bigger picture though - where are Coventries suppoters??? Dont think I've ever seen an away game where we outnumbered the home support!

Ok then, 14,000 Coventry fans in a 32,000 seater stadium and that also had 6 and a half thousand West Ham supporters crammed in one end. I can just about buy it was like that at a push but it's still very poor support seeing this is probably Coventries biggest game of the season and like I've said, Coventry is one of the biggest cities in the UK and has no other big football team.

where our fanbase is concerned,in the 60's thousands arrived in coventry for work.....now if for instance a family moved here from newcastle, their offspring claim to support newcastle...except that is when the cup final bandwagon started rolling in 87,then they all claimed to be life-long supporters who go every week.our average home gates went up to about 45'000 for a few weeks, even though at the time highfield road held 24'000
