I agree completely, but they are two very different diseases. There was an Airforce officer that was actually convicted of taking part in swingers parties with his wife when he knowingly had HIV. I don't remember what the sentence was, but it was not pretty. I also don't remember if he infected anyone or not.

I was saying that HIV does not kill OR shorten the life expectancy of some. There are no absolutes when it comes to HIV or AIDS. Hell, there are some people that are naturally immune to HIV and will never get it.

Now we are getting into semantics and splitting hairs. There are exceptions to every rule and we know that. Magic Johnson has done very well since his diagnosis. Magic also has the available funds for the best in medicines in care. You and I don't have that. I think it makes more sense to look at the big picture. If you don't believe that HIV shortens your life expectancy, then go tell that to those third world African people.
