OK.. I'll try to make a long story short here. While I was in college, two of my uncles passed away almost back to back from cancer. My step-father (who has just lost 2 of his brothers) was out of sorts to say the least. He swore he was next in line to die. (His oldest brother died followed by the second oldest and then my step father came next in birth order.) Luckily he is still cancer-free and he is alive and kicking. that is
Anyways, to the point of my story. When we were all grieving and getting through the deaths in the family, my (step) father told me that if he died he wanted this song to play at his funeral. After he told me this, it haunted me. I heard it in stores, constantly heard it on the radio, and always heard it on the damn elevators!! I thought about him every time it played of course.
The song lost it's luster and they stopped playing it so much.....I haven't heard the song in years... Well now it's back. The last two days on the way to work I heard it (two different radio stations) and I just heard it at Walmart. It leaves me really unsettled, like an omen or something :dunno
