threads like this are pathetic, no offence to you bigboy but the rep system was set up originally for people to acknowledge a good post , send a hi to brighten up someones day, or compliment someone for what theyve posted (pics etc.), now it has turned into a how much rep can I give out in a day. Its lost all its meaning as far as Im concerned.

I am guilty of such things. I'd say over half my rep is from rep days and (to a lesser degree) rep threads but, in my defense, I made my 50K rep requirement for VIP before ever participating in a rep day.
