I live in America and it's still called Apple Cider. But he's not from my area and I didn't see apple in front of cider whenever he talks about it. Just making sure.

I used to get that stuff at this Apple Festival they held in my state. It was yummy.

Sorry to be anal about these things but that isn't technically correct. Cider can only be made from apples. The pear cider you refer to is properly known as perry! Arn't I Mr La di da!
It's kind of like champagne can only come from Champagne in France and any other champagnes are actually sparkling wine!

I do love pears as a fruit, but not when it's a juice. Like tomatoes...I love ketchup, but hate tomatoes as the real fruit.
