Nobody is being hypocritical... we're saying that there are probably infinitely more important things going on in this country or around the world that actually have an effect on people's day to day lives. But things like that are covered up by the media in order to sensationalize shit like this, celebrity sex tapes, or anything else in order to drive ratings. Then there's people (like some here) that buy into it hook, line, and sinker... and focus on this meaningless drivel rather than things that actually matter.

I am not dense at all. In fact there are many things that interest me that actually have an effect on people's lives. Just because I choose to be interested in what happens to a mother that killed her little girl doesn't mean that is all I'm interested. I am not the only person here that has expressed an interest in this. Yet I am the only one you are singling out. Guess the new girl is an easy target. So what I say to you is fuck off.

You also cannot say unequivocally that she murdered her kid. Is that very simple concept really that hard for you to understand? YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. You can have your opinions, but you can't state them as fact, because you weren't there to witness it.

What was said about the media hyping this up instead of focusing on things that actually matter wasn't directed at anyone. It was a statement about the MEDIA, but no, you took it as a personal affront instead of what it actually was. Once again, taking what was said and coming to a completely off the wall conclusion.

Or maybe... new evidence will come out that shows that someone else was responsible, and they'd be punished. You also discount emotional punishment. If she did kill her daughter, that's something that's going to hang over her for the rest of her life. Hell, it's going to hang over her for the rest of her life regardless. Do you think she's going to find it easy to get a job or lead even close to a normal or even meaningful life? I doubt it. She's going to be judged by people like yourself for the rest of her life. Treated badly for a crime that she was found not-guilty of. That's what she's going to have to deal with... and that's not a light punishment when you actually stop to think about it.
