i discovered that this new bail out bill was approximately 450 pages long. i'm sure everyone that voted had a staff of readers available to read each section and summarize before they voted. either that or the threats of market crashes and marshall law really reigned them in. ;)

but i digress. i'm definitely no big brainer on this but i want to make sure i got this straight. i mean 450 pages of legalease is way beyond my realm of knowledge power. but if i got it right, in a nutshell, it would seem that this bill ultimately sells all the bad debt of banks to the government at a mark up. so we, the taxpayers, get to finance this bad debt of credit card debt, bad loan debt, etc. we don't even get any good capital out of it.

just makin sure i got that right ;)

What the F...? There were earmarks in this bill? Why?
What cave you been living in the last few days Minor? :eek

You did not know what bull shit was thrown in there? Yea they tossed in pork for the left and the right so that those who voted no in the house before would change their mind.

I almost hope the stock market crashes in about 4 weeks so it is fresh on the mind of every voter when they go into the booth. Every one of them who voted for the bailout should be kicked out of office. Then for good measure I would vote out the entire House. That would be a nice wake up call to these bufoons.

and then for Obama and particularly McCain to support this is laughable. Mr. Maverick is a friggin chicken shit two faced pussy. He is so against earmarks yet he went ahead and supported the bailout.

the next time any of these jerks in congress need major surgery we should demand they have the local hairdresser do the operating. seeing how these dufus congressmen used their own expertise and ignored all the economic experts about the bailout.

end of friggin rant :D

:homo:

i wasn't going to vote this year because i don't like ANY of their policies on anything.
but i'm going in with a black sharpie and just writing NO across the whole damn thing.
no one deserves my vote they are all cowards.
we're either going to see a depression or a revolution
or candidly, both.

Exactly! First he suspends his campaign to persuade the house republicans to vote for it and they were the ones to hold it back. Then the pork was added to get enough votes and not a word out of the maverick.

"Now that's change we can count on" :24:

They all went for it......Lock stock and smoking barrel...

McCain isn't the only guilty one.....Easy target yes, but his vote wouldn't have held it back.

Seriously, this isn't a McCain vs. Obama cage fight
these elected officials are voting for bills that are selling us out.
When they passed that bill - they sealed our fate.
Now what the fuck are we seriously going to do about it?

The way it looks.....Lose all our retirement and 401K's

And probably most Americans will still go out and spend themselves silly.

It has turned into a political cage fight, Capitol Hill cannot get anything done, none of them, and to think that Obama is the solution, or for that matter any of them is insane.

They all need to go.
